Neil Joseph Kenny is a former Marine who served from June of 1967 to January 1969. Of his nineteen months of service in the United States Marine Corps, thirteen of them were spent in Vietnam.

While in Nam, Mr. Kenny was assigned to Lima Company, Third Battalion, Twenty-sixth Marine Regiment. Neil was with this unit from January 2, 1968 to December 1968. He then spent a short time with Charlie Company, First Battalion, Fifth Marine Regiment.

During his tenure in Vietnam Marine Kenny earned the Purple Heart Medal, the Navy Commendation and Navy Achievement Medals both with ‘V’ device, The Combat Action Ribbon, the Presidential Unit Citation with two bronze stars and several other medals and service ribbons.

After the Marine Corps Mr. Kenny pursued his education going on to attain his High School Diploma and continued that education to achieve a Bachelors and Masters Degree from the City University of New York.

Mr. Kenny has had careers in Law enforcement and Education. Presently retired he is fully involved with the Scholarship Foundation. Neil is an active member of the Marine Corps League. Neil is also a Board member of the Khe Sanh Veterans Association. He is very active in assisting members of the Veterans community. To that end he is a mentor to several young Marines who are either on active duty or have recently been separated from military service.

Neil is married to his bride of eighteen years Alice. They reside in Staten Island, New York and Lewisberry, Pennsylvania. Mr. and Mrs. Kenny have three grown daughters who are all married and three grandchildren from his oldest daughter.
